[SOLVED] Trailer Music keeps playing endlessly

We are aware of certain users hearing endless Rome/DLC Trailer Music when booting up the game.

This is caused by latest updates to the Steam Client - the Overlay will now remember which webpages you visited last time, per each game. In this case, it plays the Trailer Videos from DLC Store Pages in background. If you previously opened the Steam Store using Steam's browser, you will need to ensure that it has been closed:

• Press Shift+TAB to access the Steam Overlay.
  
• Close the Browser In-Game pages which have the DLC Store pages open.

Valve is aware of the issue and this happens in many Steam games for many users since mid-June. More discussions on this topic can be found on the Steam Forums.

the launcher seems to open up Return of Rome store page. Open Steam overlay SHIFT+TAB, close the store page.

you can play just turn the volume down

I tried turning all the volume down in settings and it doesn't affect it at all for some reason.

DUUDE THANK YOU SO MUCH! Had the same thing and closing that actually helped! So dumb how it still had that open every time you launch the game.

So basically, when i launch my game, for some reason the STEAM starts playing this awfull annoying music, that is some kind of intro, please help??

Somehow starting AOE2 will start an overlay of Steam where one of AOE2 DLC trailer being played.

Turn on Steam overlay using esc button, and turn everything inside the overlay off.

Annoying Narrator in Steam Shop interface during game play!

I have issue within the steam shop interface with Age of Empire since the content "Return to Rome" is present in the steam shop.

When I starts Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition from my steam library I can hear the music / sound / narration / voice of the 'Return of Rome' Steam shop interface , like a commercial.

I can't disable this through the AOE2 menu in game (because that checkbox is already OFF).
This very annoying music / sounds / narrator voice & sound seems always on.
I temporarily (as work-a-round) disable in MS Windows all the sound output of the complete Steam (shop) application & helpers applications)

Unfortunately this is a unwanted, let me explain : when I am looking for new games, i do wish to listen & hear the commercial sounds & music.

I already did contact to Microsoft / XBOX / Age of Empire support desks
unfortunately they can't fix it because it seems not a game issue (weird)
They blame Steam for this ...

But when I knock on the door of the Steam Support, they write =>

made by other companies.
Please click the link below for information about how to contact the
support team for this game. . . . Hahaha I do not wish to contact MS.

Who can help me with tips on how to raise a professional issue / ticket on this commercial sound/narration within the Steam Shop interface ???

GAME AUDIO BROKEN AFTER UPDATE !?

A random audio track talking about the galaxy and the stars now plays every time I launch the game. This can not be controlled through the game sound settings and persists even after muting all sound effects/ music in game. It has made the game unplayable as I can't turn it off. This must be a bug related to the latest update.

AOE2 trailer keeps on playing in background - DLC Rome

I downloaded the DLC of Rome, but since then the trailer of AOE 2 - Rome DLC keeps playing in the background of my game. Anyone tips?

Steam Overlay somehow opened ROR main store page and trailer silently ingame.

Shift + tab to turn on Steam overlay and turn the trailer in overlay off.

This is a known problem, if there anything else different, I afraid this one should be left for professionals, devs and good people who have good understanding honestly.

It keeps paying the start up music

When I start the game it plays the intro. Then a little pause then plays the into again even if im in a game how do i make that stop

Cannot turn off the bgm of the menu

It always plays the bgm start with 'get to the north my loard...' even I am in the game. Anyone knows how I should turn it off?

Random in game MUSIC / SOUND BUG

Whenever I start the game blaring music and narration starts that is unrelated to AOE. It starts with " Do you dream of the stars " blah blah blah. This music plays persistently while the app is open and does not shut off. The audio controls in game do not effect this sound either but I can still play the normal music and have the normal control of that in the settings.

Uninstalling and Re installing does not fix the issue and I have try'd removing all of my addons. To me it seems like the audio is activated by Age being opened but does not actually come from the Age app itself.

Interestingly I left the game running for an hour to see if the music would stop. When i got back to my PC I tabbed into the game and it was the regular music and sounds of AOE. Then 2 seconds after the random Narration and sound started again.... Please fix this!
