-Either turn on cheats for cheat codes or use infinite resources or use custom mods for what you want to do. All of that can be done in singleplayer.
-Unless you're talking about hacking? And if so, that is stictly prohibited.
I prefer using a trainer instead of using cheat codes or mods in DE because of the stupid annoying "ACHIEVEMENTS ARE OFF YOU DIRTY,DIRTY CHEATER!!!!!!!"messege that appears after EVERY SINGLE GAME and the constant updates that break all data mods every other week
But if i do use a trainer the game kicks me out after a couple rounds maximum
Why can't they just enable anti cheats AFTER the player entered multiplayer lobby instead or running with the game core???
It's SO infuriating what are they doing to the game because Elitism sells
A trainer refers to an external program/app that alters the state of the game. Think of the popular trainers released by Mr. AntiFun for example.
I do not have AoE installed anymore to try it, but I vaguely recall reading that a workaround to disable the anticheat in single-player was renaming the game folder "battleserver" to something else (like "battleserver backup"), but I do not know if that is still a valid solution. Of course, you would need to revert the change for online matches and, as I stated in the opening post, I was neither asking nor encouraging cheating in multiplayer. This discussion was exclusively about single-player offline gaming.
I also recall having used Cheat Engine, so maybe Cheat Engine tables would work instead of other trainers.
Edit: I mean, I do agree with it being there but, for single player? No... Although, I think it's more targeted at trying to determine the source code and whatnot. (Which could be bad... Personally, eh... I dunno. I personally, would not care but, we are talking about Microsoft here... So... I don't think that will happen.)
Edit: But yes, Anti Cheat/Required Internet Connection (The aspects of) is Single Player games is one of those things that I do agree that needs to die. Let the Gamers have their fun and screw around. XD
