Thank you for reporting this. Do you only have audio issues in Age of Empires? Is the overall sounds volume low for you in-game or is it specifically music or sound that is low?
Could you please share more details such as you in-game audio settings and your audio settings in Windows when you go to Volume mixer?
Do you have any pending Windows updates or did you recently do a Windows update?

Sorry to hear the issue is still there. How do your audio settings under Volume Mixer look like? (Taskbar > right click on sound icon > open Volume Mixer)
You can also type Sound in your search bar > click sound settings > advanced sound options > check what volume level AoE2 has there.
Another thing to try would be to update your audio drivers.
