Mod manager stuck on "Loading Mods"

I've uninstalled and then reinstalled the game, yet still this happens. What's going on? Has been going on for about a month or so now.

Thank you for your report! Could you please try the following steps to see if that solves the issue:

1. Verify your files in the Steam Library -> Age of Empires II -> Right click -> Properties -> Local files -> Verify.

2. Disable all your mods and restart the game after that.

3. Update your graphic drivers and check for pending Windows updates.

4. Add the whole game folder to your antivirus exception list. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\AoE2DE is the default. If you have an active antivirus running, you may want to try and disable it completely for a few minutes to see if that solves the issue.

I've done all that and still the same problem. The "loading mods" thing never loads mods.

Bump... still not working.

I have to use the ageofempires.com website to get mods.

An improved mod browser would be very much welcome in the game, with better sorting, ratings, etc.

Thank you for your comment! Are you referring to the "Loading mods" you can see when you scroll down the list of mods in-game? If yes, then this is currently an issue that we are already tracking - meaning we have a ticket for it in our system.

Same here.

I haven't played for 6 months. It was working well at that time. But when I started playing again yesterday, the mod page is loading forever. However, the mods already installed were working fine.

This is new. I cannot even create games with data mods anymore. I was able to do it this week but this morning it stopped working.

I saw that right before I started the game it updated. So whatever patch you shipped broke the game. This is really an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move to do in the Christmas holidays. For christs sake, can you just ship one patch that does not instantly break the dumb game?

edit: Okay, maybe only partially. I think uploading/updating/signing in is still broke.

edit: Meh, I think it's trying to read my xbox account again. Lemme try using the website...

edit: Nope. It stops uploading and nothing happens.

edit: Okay, I managed to upload my mod so, hopefully, it's fixed now.
