Fullscreen issue on dual monitor

Hello everyone,

First of all I'm not posting often here, and I suppose this topic has already been made, but I couldn't find any solutions with searching "dual" "exclusive" "fullscreen" "windowed" keywords on this forum, neither could I while browsing the web. If a solution to this was already found, could you link me to it plz -before closing the subject :'(-

So, as a lot of people I suppose, I'm using dual monitors, and AoE2:DE is running on "fake full screen" (mouse can still go to the other monitor as a windowed game would be). I've read this was a DX11 problem, but is there any fix ? I've read about some DE mod but I couldn't find it.

Before now I was just unplugging my second monitor's HDMI but I got a new display today and I can't unplug it as easily anymore, so I gotta get a fix.

I suppose there is a fix, as people such as streamer are running dual monitors and still playing the game full screen ?

i'm not sure what you want here, you want to bind the mouse to the window? or is it something else?

I would like to run the game in fullscreen mod (with borders, which mean when my mouse goes up to the left edge of my screen, it doens't go to my secondary monitor but stays on the screen as a normal fullscreen game)

personally i use a program to do that for me, I use Dual monitor tools, lets me bind the mouse to a screen with a hotkey,

Ohhh, nice ! didn't know about such tool !
Will try it out as a last option (as it seems kinda complicated) if nobody has fixes for the issue

I'm running the game on english and I didn't know what "clamp" meant, must admit i didn't try it !!
