Game still feels very choppy/stuttering when scrolling over the map
Hi guys! No matter what I do with the graphics, game feels very choppy and it is stuttering. I have a 144hz gsync monitor but game feels like I am playing on a 30 fps. Is there a fix or workaround or as designed?

Thank you for you help and stay healthy!

Surely if it's "choppy" then your computer isn't good enough, lower the resolution, turn on v-sync, try turning off g-sync. Can you get a constant 144hz or does it jump all over? What gpu you got? Does it do it even at low pop? How can you expect people to give you a solution when you've provided so little detail? But, if the issue is performance then the problem is most likely your settings or computers specs, as higher end pc's certainly don't normally experience performance issues with this game, but you provided no details so hard to say.

It is choppy when you scrolls around.

My specs are:

I7 9700k
16gb RAM
Gigabyte rtx 2070

I have stable 120 fps (which seems to be locked at) but when I scrolls around over the map if feels like it is stuttering. Frames are still stable at 120fps. But it feels like it is at 30 fps.

-Interesting. Most if not all people that reported stuttering on scrolling have since said it is resolved/fixed for them.

-Can you provide a video of your scrolling stutter? Maybe try playing with your scrolling settings?

-Also please update OP and/or title to say its only for scrolling.

Heres a list of things to try:
1) Turn off g-sync
2) Install game on an ssd or sshd
3) Make sure your pagefile/virtual memory is above 8gb
4) Make sure you playing in fullscreen and not windowed
5) If you have third-party program forcing some graphics settings, turn it off.
6) Make sure fps is locked at a stable number
7) Un-plug second monitor if you have one.
8) Does it happen with the 4k textures on/off instead?

If you arent sure how to do some of those, just google it. I reckon one of those will certainly fix the problem. If it still persists, then I'd be surprised if anyone can help you lol. Most people will give you the generic "verify cache" solution which I'm 100% sure wont do anything.

I have tried everything you have suggested to do. It makes no difference at all. I have tried to play in Nvidia CP and still there is no difference. I have tried to install it on the SSD and it makes no difference except loading times ofc.

I have tried to install and uninstall many times and there is literally no difference at all.

As always thank you for your help.

Have you tried capping the fps to 60?

I have tried to play with scrolling settings and disabling every option that is "candy" related. WIll try to upload a video here as soon as I install the game again. How do I update OP?

Yes, I have tried to cap it to 60 and still no luck. I gave ttried even to switch off Vsync and no difference. It is a strange feeling really. I have tried to switch to my old monitor which is 75hz and still no luck.

Okay, turn v-sync on but g--sync off, try that. Otherwise if you either revert to an older graphics driver version, or update it, that may help. I have read other people saying that reverting to a previous driver version solved their issue. I still have version 442.19, and it certainly does not cause issues.

I have also tried that :) This is a problem which is present from the last year but I have made a thread now because I would really like to play this amazing game. So this is a problem I am facing since the day of launch that's why I have written in the thread as "still choppy". I wold myself that this will take some time being fixed but it is not fixed for me at least :(

It is very nice from you that you are helping me!

The only thing I haven't tried is deleting my settings/profile. Where can I find that filed to delete it?

I can't really see it, I thought I could see some tearing however, you probably had g-sync turned off at the time? My final ditch effort here is only an idea becuase I have no idea, but is it possible that the games refresh rate is locked at a different level to your monitors? The fps are stable, but perhaps the differing refresh rates are creating the illusion of choppyness? Also make sure the resolution ingame matches desktop resolution, try running in windowed if possible and see if that makes a difference.

If that not the source of the problem, then Dare Devil will have to help you, I've got nothing else left to suggest sorry. Good luck with it.

Gsync was enabled and game resolution is the same as desktop resolution. This is some kid of tearing yes...

Thank you for trying to help me and stay healthy!
