This is a serious problem with some games because of developer laziness. You can save entire GB by deleting files that are in languages you don't use.
-Pretty sure this has already been addressed in the second or third update. When you install it will only download the audio voice files that your game language is set to.
It has not. Installed only a couple of days ago, and it has each folder from BR to ZH.
^ Exactly
-Oh okay, so we were both right. Looks like this is resolved for the campaign language audio but the same optimization doesn't occur for the art of war videos.
-However at the end of the day 17 GB isn't really a large issue nowadays, but hopefully we see further optimizations.
-The last update was 6 GBs because they did further optimization to file sizes to decrease the game size by about 1 GB. In order for your system to have the optimized files; you have to redownload all the files. Originally the game in beta was 50+ GBs I think I heard people say. Looking at the update content in each monthly update; I think we are in a good spot for hoping to see further optimizations across the board.
Thanks, good info. Saved 4 GB, will try uninstall and install again.
Some says 17GB is a reasonable size for a game but I am not a gamer and not using a game pc, so for a small ssd laptop, size matters.
