Report a translation problem
As for the word filtering issue, we're already on the case! For some reason, the language filter is overreacting to some otherwise tame words and phrases.
Thanks for the report!
Thank you for answering. I will make a video next time it happens.
Cheers!
You can clearly see that there's a "lag" for a couple of seconds. The game works as if everything was fine but my command is delayed and the game speeds up to catch up after that. In this video, I hosted the game on eastus with another player who was on the same network as me.
I did not experience 1 min lags today but when it happens it's basically the same thing except it's longer: I give a command, the game runs normal for 1 or 2 mins but further commands are not executed, after the delay the games catches up with everything.
I thought that the problem was on my side at first but AoE2:DE is the only game where I have this issue. Other multiplayer games are working great for me.
This "lag" happens at least a dozen times every game for me.
Hopefully I gave you enough information. It's really a mutliplayer issue only, the game runs smoothly otherwise. Could it be a problem with the servers or is it something only related to me somehow?
Thanks again for looking into this and for your help.
I verified with the other player and he was able to control his units. Only I experienced what you see in the video.
I verified and my internet connection has nothing to do with this (the other player is on the same network as me and he's able to play while I experience this).
I think it's network related. In my second video you can clearly see a red clock beside my name on the bottom right side of the screen (above the map). Red clock means slow connection or connection problems I imagine. The thing is, my internet is fine so I guess it must be something with their servers. But you are right, it only happens to the host. Very annoying indeed.
I started playing Age of Empires 2 yesterday. There is nothing wrong with the solo modes but I can't play in multiplayer.
I started a game with a friend in multiplayer and as the population was growing, the game became impossible to play. The FPS were quite ok but every action took many seconds to actually start from the moment I click the action. At arround 60 of population, the delay was more than a minute between the click and the response of the game !
Is there any solution to this problem or is it the servers ?
Thank you.
