Game won't launch

I click play in games library, >preparing to launch, splash screen pops up for a few seconds and then closes, after that nothing happens and steam no longer says that I'm in a game.

I both got and installed this game today.

i have been having this issue since yesterday (UK time) 10;00 pm

i have uninstalled steam , wiped my games and reinstalled this morning , been at my pc since 7:45 am trying to fix.

verified files with valve corp
reinstallations (3 times)
compatibility launching does nothing

i have used the windows feedback hub to search similar users with issues that have reported them , i have also logged an issue with microsoft in the hope someone does something.

i have my windows 10 64bit uptodate , with optional updates also just incase.
i have double checked my drivers form graphics card are correct and they are.
its ridiculous

I can start the game itself, but not any scenario or random map. After the story-telling (scenarios) it ctd...also after trying to start a random game.

I have changed my virtual memory now to 20GB! Nothing....

I am very upset and disappointed. They have to do their work - we have paid for this!

Same here. I've installed and checked the UHD graphics DLC. The game starts, but once a mission or random game is loaded it shuts down the game and returns to Windows... worked well without the UHD graphics DLC installed.

Win10, apparently you also need to check if you have all updates installed.

Freaking game made me go nuts since yesterday.. It was not even launching for me at first, was crashing & shutting down immediately after 1 second at the cinematics screen. Then it started to let me reach the main menu sometimes, which I couldn't start a game in tens of tries.. It suddenly crashes & shuts down the game at the game loading screen.. I have my Windows 10 up to date, installed Microsoft C++ Visual Redistributables, DirectX 12 installed, Nvidia drivers are up to date, manually verified game files on steam, running the game as administrator, increased my virtual page memory size, still can't even play the game and it is starting to get more and more annoying.. I can't believe it isn't possible to play this freaking game right now. I do know that I don't have the best hardware but still.. Nvidia GeForce GTX 970M Graphics Card, i7-6700HQ - 2,60GHz CPU, 8GB RAM..

I do not think it is primarly a hardware problem. There seem to be so many variations of errors here and there...
