AOE2 Won't Start unless internet connect.

Does anyone else have this problem, where AOE2 won't launch unless, I'm connected to the internet? Not all the time, I can connect to the internet, I have it download, but unless I'm connected to internet, it won't launch the game. anyone else have this problem?

it has been an issue since months ago, some users find useful to disable overlays but some dont so you can start with that

Same, yeah. No workaround here on my end - except to go online and launch the game, then when it's launched I can go offline and it works just fine.

to deal with that you have to make sure it's not trying to log in to Microsoft's services and you have to disable the XBox game bar that comes with Windows. However, the former requires you get the game launched while you're able to go online
