“Smoke on the water” achievement bug
Hello everyone, is it just me, or the achievement “Smoke on the water” (Lake Poyang) isn’t working at all?
I created more than 20 dragon ships during the game; won and nothing popped up.
Have you had the same issue?
If yes, how did you solve it?

Thanks in advance to everyone!!

Confirmed. Played from the beginning. Within 40 in-game minutes I reached Teal and purchased Dragon Ships.
The achievement popped up in-game without the need to complete the mission.

It's working for me. Achievement popped up as soon as I got 20 dragon ships.

Might be a stupid question but did you ever have 20 dragon ships at the same time?

bought the dragon ships one by one. Even though I ultimately failed the mission, at least I bought them total 20. got the achievement.

you're right! just need to buy 20 dragon ships IN A ROW. Even if I didn't win the game (I have already won this battle in a previous game so now I immediately quit when I saw the pop-up), I got the achievement!!

Thank you for your advices!!

I too have this issue. After struggling with this mission for so long, I finally won with 30~ dragon ships left and it didn't unlock.
I've tried reloading and buying them one buy one, and all at once. No luck D:

Edit: Also noticed in-game it says Dragon ships cost 70g, instead of 100g.

It probably has to do with the recent DLC update i guess; it messed up the game somewhat.. let's hope that they issue a patch addressing all the bugs..

I noticed that the bug fixes that came with the new civs stated that they fixed Burmese Tigers "Chasing the Crown" achievement, so I was able to get that.
While I was at it I tried the Vinlandsaga Penguin achievement and was able to finally get that one too. I didn't see them say anything about it though. Unless I missed the patch for it.

"Smoke on the Water" Achievement is bugged
Have trained over 40+ Dragon Ships at the same time and won the campaign multiple times but the achievement won't trigger.

Smoke on the Water Achievement ( Is it still working correctly?)
Hi all,

Just trying to get some achievements done. This one is to buy 20 dragon ships in the Lake campaign mission from cyan player...

Is anyone else having issues with it, or am I missing something?

I tried buying 20 seperate once, 20 at once. I even ended up finishing the mission with 50 of the dragon ships and no dice I didn't get the achievement...

Anyone knows if theres an issue or if I'm perhaps missing something? I read nothing about bugs anywhere but nor do I find anything that I'm doing wrong.

I tried all this (buy in a row, have them all alive at one, buy all at once, wait until victory, bought 40 ships, restarted level and tried it all over again) and I still wasn't granted the acheivement. There must be a bug because the mission objectives said tribute 70 gold when it required 100 gold. Any other ideas?

Tried everything mentioned above. Nothing happened. Tried to check local game files for bugs - same result.

I'm having the same issue! I tried 20 at once, 20 seperate, 2 different games. Played both until I won with about 50ish ships left at the end. No achievement.

Same goes for the Turks mission to win without allies. Made no allies, killed all. Won game, no achievement. Really odd.

Do This:
Use a SaveGame that u got
then sell all the other resourses
use all the gold u get to buy those dragon ships until the archiev pop up
(try to not lose any of those ships when u buy it)
Dont worry if u lose the game u dont need to win to get the archiev.

That was the way i get this archiev before doing the mission.

Smoke on the Water Achievement does not unlock
This unlocked for me when I bought in one transaction - 2000 gold. I met the Chinese ports in the northern corner of the map, and purchased 20 Dragon Ships. I bought even more dragon ships, but the achievement was still locked.
