Multiplayer Lag

i played a few games today, the game lags in multiplayer and feels like playing HD or Voobly with P2P instead of server based multiplayer, it brought back memories <3 .
A very nice touch form the devs in the patch that celebrates the first aoe2de anniversary <3 <3
Don't get me wrong though, the rest of the update is amazing.

Severe stuttering on AOE2 DE

Hi, I'm experiencing severe stuttering since last week, it happens on single player and multiplayer games, not an intenet problem.

Changing the graphic settings does not make any improvements, and I've been playing with full graphic settings all year, this is the first time that I have this kind of problems. Also, I can play other games like GTA V or Assasins Creed without any sttutering or fps drop.

Please help, the game is unplayable like this.

My laptop settings are:
i7-8750H 2.20 GHz
16 GB RAM
NVIDIA GTX 1060 6 GB

I'm having the same problem as well. AoE II DE has been running so well on my laptop since i bought and out of a sudden the game started droping frames out of nowhere. Also recently I have also experienced crashes.

Each update: fix one thing , break another

Seriously, I have been playing some games today with the new update and games couldn't be worse. Everyone was experiencing lagg (everyone had a red clock) and they were totally unplayable.
I have a good pc and a good conection and never has this before, at least in so many sucessive games.
Why the f** do they always have to do the same? Every update means a step back in playability because everyone f****g have laggs all the time.
Please, fix the freaking game so we can have a normal game someday.

Multiplayer is lagging ALOT. Just played two matches with 200 pop and after some time... massive lag spikes

Team games? or 1v1? I never have lag in 1v1s except if my opponent has bad internet.

man you are lucky i even cannot play a ranked game. After the update, i could only played two games and game crashes everytime when i try to find a game.
