icons missing

i have had some games now where the icons have been missing from the game so like no food or gold icons and also no icons where its supposed to be for saved etc. the icons for unit control like formation and stance could only be accesed through hotkeys they did not appear on the screen

I'm having a similar bug. Icons are missing for every unit.

do you have any user interface mods enabled. they may caused bug after game graphic system (or something with graphics) was changed

No, my friend. Nothing was changed. I was indeed testing the game for my second time (I was using the scenario editor, though)

Just got the game yesterday and my Icons were missing to. I restarted the game twice and they were back. I also started out in the scenario editor running a Test when I noticed Icons were missing. Since the double restart I have always had my icons working.

That's nice to know. Some games, for some reason, behave weird the first time they are run.

Hello I just installed the game in my new computer, fired AoE 2 DE up on the Roman DLC, it all worked fine until going from the discovery to the bronze age. I can choose granary or storeroom buildings, but they don't show the upgrades, in other buildings too. The game is completely up to date, the only difference from my old machine is I also installed the free graphic enhancemnet DLC. Is this a known issue?
