banning players are for custom lobbies. The only way to "ban" a player in ranked play is to report them so they are banned forever for playing MP. As I explained earlier this isnt guarantee. If u could choose who to ban in ranked play it would cause a whole lot of problems.
i see map bans. Player bans? Screenshot I am confused on what u are seeing.
Guys, don't tell him what the "block player" button does, it's funnier that way.
is English your first language?
" I don't know how more self explanatory the word and function "ban" can and SHOULD be. If the developers speak a different language, then I would like to understand this, hence my post. "
I dont know what to say here. I just find it extremely funny that u said this lol.
Egenem17, in NORMAL games, BAN means that you will never to see him again. Here its mean nothing.
You play RANKED game and after it, you can see option to BAN player. But ban not for ranked (which one are you playing), ban for unranked games. What is the point of it in RANKED?! Useless ability.
They needed to write "Mute" instead of "Ban".
Please use your brain and actually read.
"It actually is called "block player"." -OP
Please do tell me which game use the word block to ban players or better yet tell me what the usage of block means in every day life.
I dont want to talk to someone so I block them. You can do this on your phone. Same thing for games. You block them. That has always been the block feature use. You can block me yourself here on steam and find out what that does. You blocking me doesnt ban me just like OP blocking players after game dont ban them.
It should be common sense what the issue was when OP literally said that the button was "block player" not "ban player." English probably isnt your first language too.
I get it you are salty u had no argument for the ranked system. Dont take it personal. I only responded to u since I see u spam post "deranker/smurfs" in the community screenshot sections for years now. Obviously you are frustrated by the experience, but you are frustrated at the wrong thing. Not much I can say if you truly think that number of games is the only way to determine skill. I will tell u this, the matchmaking wont change. So either learn about the system or be angry forever assuming u continue to play the game.
I don’t see the point in wasting my time on empty messages to someone who protects developers, in any topic. Even here. "Block" means is not same as "Mute". It's strange that some people don't understand it...
Yeah matchmaking and everything in online will not be changed for sure. Better: brazenly add another game (AoE1) to here and try to sell free content from the workshop. Sell as expensive dlc. Its better of course than attempt to fix the game.
I dont play Street Fighters. All the games I play CSGO, League, Valorant all use block to mute players. They are interchangeable. Blocking them dont ban them in game.
I dont protect devs. I have speaked out about their DLCs regarding cosmetic in the past. I have also show displeasure when they were thinking of doing battlepass. I just dont think the devs are in the wrong here. The feature that OP wants is already implemented just not in ranked setting.
Also idk if u know, but its not normal for competitive games to give access to players for who they can match with. That kinda goes against the whole point of competitive matchmaking to begin with.
Edit: to your Edit. You still havent explained what is actually wrong with matchmaking. You just dont like the current matchmaking system which is fine. The one that age2 uses is also used by a bunch of other games and they are very successful. So again what is the problem. To be clear I am not saying its perfect. However the main problem u seem to have is you simply dont understand how skill works.
Here, devs wrote: BAN player.
In SF5 and SF6: if I ban a player, it will means that I will never see him at any other game mode, never ever. This is especially important for ranked game.
What are u trying to say?
OP mistaken block for ban. The button was block. block is interchangeable with mute at least in terms of gaming usually.
