AOE2 about the new DLC price
is it correct? It costs twice as much as other regular DLC (Brazil).
We had some price changes before where some games or DLCs came out with the wrong price and were corrected later. I wonder if that's the case

More expensive than the game itself. Madness...

Paying the Swiss price with a Brazilian salary.

There's a region why regional pricing exists devs 11

That's weird... I bought the return of rome for 27,00 at launch, but this new one is sitting at 55,00 with 15% discount, going for 47,00.
The game itself costs 37,00, so idk if they messed up regional pricing

More expensive and still using the Mediterranean set which makes no effing sense.

They were part of the East Roman empire, in this game named Byzantines.

The pricing might be off in some regions, I guess some clarification would be nice.

£14.99 Base game
£12.49 (before current discount) The Mountain Royals
£9.99 Return to Rome
£7.99 Dynasties of India
£7.99 Dawn of the Dukes
£7.99 Lords of the West

These are UK prices. None of the DLC is more expensive than the base game.

I've just asked for a refund for the aforementioned reasons... Indeed it is patently absurd to pay more for a DLC than for the base game

Then this DLC's price ought to be 33.28 BRL, not 46.71 BRL.

Less than $20A is about right for any DLC i remember back to the 90s as far as i'm concerned. Its like $1 per scenario

Look, I was already super furious just knowing that the civs are Georgians and Armenians, one of them could very well represent the other without problems, they spent a civ slot, which could very well be the Swiss or Tibetans that fit well in the mountains theme.

But to crown the grotesque mistake they still put the DLC costing in Brazil twice the price of the last two DLCs of two civs + 3 campaigns. I really want to believe that this is some kind of mistake. How in good conscience can a DLC cost more than the base game?

Prices in Brazil:

Base Game: 36,99
Soundtrack: 20,69
Lords of the West: 29,99
Dawn of the Dukes: 19,00
Dynasties of India: 19,00
Return of Rome: 27,00
The Mountain Royals: 54.95 without discount, 46.71 with the 15% discount.

I really hope that this is some kind of mistake and that it will be fixed urgently. At this price it is difficult to buy this DLC or any other future DLC.

This is really odd, the DLC is more expensive than the game itself here in Brazil, and by quite a bit.
NEPTLUDE Oct 16, 2023 @ 3:33pm
It's overpriced for a DLC in Colombia too.
Base game COL$ 39.900
Mountain royals DLC COL$ 45.900

Even with civs that I don't like, usually I would have bought the DLC at this point. But at this price it's impossible. Not that I can't dispose of that amount, I can, but it's immoral, unrealistic, illogical for a DLC to just double in price like that, out of nowhere.

However, recently another game I've posted the following news:
