AOE2 new DLC and Civs confirmed: Armenians and Georgians
With recent "image leak" of AOE2 DLC The Mountain Royals in Microsoft store, there will be three campaigns with two new civs: Armenians and Georgians.

Thoughts about the new civs, predictions on their bonuses and UUs? Let kinda throw bug infestation risk out of the bus, because that negative thing always a thing to be expected, which is suck.

Edit: Here is the link I used for references. https://forums.ageofempires.com/t/new-dlc-leaked-the-mountain-royals/240990

Another Edit: For the pricing, I fully suggest this thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/813780/discussions/0/5943120984243319090/
Spirit of the Law also covered new information and next balance patch for AOE2: https://youtu.be/H9LrKqN0zuI?feature=shared

The price leak of $15.00 is too much. It also only has the same amount of civs and campaigns as Lords of the West and Dawn of the Dukes.
I hope there is more to offer for this price.

Armenians have two unique units according to the wiki: the first one is the Composite Bowman, which apparently is gonna be a foot archer that can pierce even the sturdiest armor, and the second unique unit is the Warrior Priest, which is an infantry unit that can fight and heal allied soldiers. The Composite Bowman's either gonna be a ranged Leitis and ignore pierce armor completely or each arrow that it fires will lower the armor of any enemy that they hit like an Obuch.

Georgians have the Monaspa as their unique unit, and the description says that it's a cavalry unit whose strength increases in numbers. I have no idea how that will actually play out though.

They have a new mobile warehouse.

Also many props too, most of them are tower like apartment and a weird Mediterranean house with an antic.

Persia got new shiny calvary I see.

Armenians and Georgians are okay additions. Still disappointing though that it's going to be civ 7 and 8 using Mediterranean architecture it seems. At least we're going to get new Monastery models it seems.

I hope that the next expansion pack is going to feature Africa or America though. Been almost a decade for both regions since we got anything new there.

Great news, happy to see them both finally in a DLC.

I would be surprised if we don't get the Songhai. Another American civ would be awesome though.

They should add Swiss civz

When is it coming to steam?

Great! I'm ok with the price as well. Even if $15 will become the standard that's fair, most of my games have DLCs with $20+ price.

Honestly I don't mind they are raising the bar, but let hope that means better quality for the DLC rather than "disastrous disaster" last DLC at launch was.

I am not sure I get people saying $15 is too much for a DLC, with new campaigns and civilisation. The work required lots of time and expense so to demand a discount or for it to cost only $5 seems unfair on the work put in.

Agreeed. If the campaigns will be as fun as in DoI it worth it for me. Heck, I'm still ok with RoR's pricing because the 3 campaigns it had (even if an aoe2 roman campaign is really missing).

I'm guessing all future updates will have 1-2 civs and cost more, because it's for the more niche players. Everyone else can always wait for sales.

Based on the Persian photo, my guess is they're changing War Elephants, maybe as a super-upgrade to Battle Elephants.
