3 new civs, cannot be played on Ranked, can be played in every other game mode.
Apparently those civs are only available in unranked + if antiquity mode enabled.
Zetnus said assets in editors is contained in the dataset (Think of it as a library). ROR is not in the same dataset as 2DE, but BfG is in the datasets and is available within 2DE editor

Correct, for ranked MP and Quick Play, they're excluded.
Perhaps I should've been more specific.... I think they might end up blacklisted by players in community custom games as well, due to the same reasons why they're blacklisted from ranked and quick play.
Beats the point of having a chill game if someone has too big of a leg up on everyone else, just because of civ selection. But I guess it depends on just how big of a difference it is.
Ah, yeah I see what you mean.
Yep. The only difference is that on the AoE 2 mode the Chronicles civs are listed after the AoE 2 civs on the civ selection screen
Ticking Anitquity Mode only enables Oysters and Wood Trading from the TC. It's a setting you can use with the AoE 2 civs as well without Chronicle civs involved
