Battle for Greece "Philolacon" and "Reject the Regent" achievements
So I did the above achievement Philolacon. Give the Relic to the spartans in both "wine dark sea" and "wrath of the regent" missions. I also set up saves so that I could just go back and give the relic to the other side in both missions for the Reject the Regent achievement. But it doesn't seem to have triggered for the second one. I loaded up the wine dark sea save, gave the relic to salamis and then completed the mission. I then loaded up the wrath of the regent mission and gave the relic to the greek navy and also completed the mission, no achievement popped though. I tried both with the "accept changes to future scenarios" option for loading a previous mission save and without, no dice either way. Has anyone managed to get both achievements and if so how?

If you load a mission save, click Yes to let it save your choices.

I know somehow it's not working on your end, but mine works good.

Just make sure the choice are full Spartans or just full no Spartans.

I just used the YES option when starting the 2 missions for the 2nd run and it worked just fine. However I didn't use saved games for this.

Could you clarify me, how you got both achievements in your case? :steamthis:

So in the second mission of the relic do you start over from the beginning?

I started with the first Across the Dark Sea, chose yes when start/reload save. Picked Spartan in the mission along with the next. That grants me the Spartan one.

For Athenian counterpart. I reload across the Dark Sea then later mission.

You could try replay them in Standard. but do it in order I think. I'm not sure if do the opposite may not help much.

I think you need to cuz the save remembers the decision you already made before it. I dont think you can overwrite it in the state of this particular save game.

My problem with the achievement is that I couldn't find the relic in Wine-Dark Sea. Where is it?!

In a temple in the mountains. you learn about its position after destroying the first castle to the South iirc.

I think the confusing part is that you'd think the "Relic" in a "Temple" would be "garrisoned" and thus marked with a flag.

Oh right, yeah for some reason I thought that temple was where you're supposed to *bring* the relic.

I got the achievement both for giving it to the Athenian allies as well as for giving it to Pausanias and the Spartans. In both cases I simply replayed the level from scratch instead of using an existing save file. After you complete Across the Wine Dark Sea, the achievement should trigger as soon as the second relic is delivered in Wrath of the Regent.
