I believe I've seen the mission "Raise the Sails" mentioned as having an aura in it, it's the only one I missed out of your list and I'm yet to get the achievement.

There should be nine total, with the Spartans having one as default, so eight missions which unlock an effect.

eight total, as long as your get one aura each mission. But yeah, Spartan did started with Infantry aura lv1 researched, but let not count that.

Yeah, so in the mission Raise the Sails, allying with Corinth and Eretria appears to grant an aura. I missed this on my first playthrough.

No, you dont need to ally with anyone to get auras.
Auras come SPECIFICALLY from Oracles and Smiths for Spartans.

Yes, and this particular one requires you to build a fort for Eretria on the coast and tribute Corinth gold. The temple is sitting in the mountain range between the starting town and the mines you need to defend. And the mission has a hint which says you'll receive an aura if you ally with two nations. And this aura SPECIFICALLY unlocked the achievement for me. But sure, say I'm wrong before you actually go and look at it.

Sorry, you were right. I did not know it comes from the Oracle's temple.
