New Civilization Suggestions
I write my own suggestions and reasons here. Please add civilizations that would be nice to see in the comments.

1-Albanians: Could be an excellent defensive civilization. They had a pretty good fight against the Ottomans. Skanderbeg expedition can also be added.

2-Austrians: It may be a mixed civilization. I don't understand why he hasn't arrived yet.

3-Maltese : A combination of infantry, defense and sea could be a powerful civilization.

4-Khazars: They can add this civilization, which includes more than one religion, to the game as a combination of cavalry and monks.

5-Maoris: They can be added as infantry and naval civilizations. An interesting mechanic can also be introduced by having monks provide power to infantry.

6-Songhai: It may be a mixed civilization that focuses especially on spear troops with gold bonuses.

Yeah, yeah, add new civ and new DLC... as if it was the main issue with this game right now. Everything is bugged, pathing is awful, pikes every game, matchmaking makes no sense but let's do some new patchs to get more money :D

Then let's say after all these problems you mentioned are solved.

Austrians would never work for this time period. Even for AoE III: DE it does not seem very likely that Austrians will get added despite the fact they officially had an empire actually during that time period and I am about 90% certain at least that Austrians as a civ will not get added officially even for AoE III: DE. If the chances of them getting added to AoE III: DE are slim then the chances are even less likely for AoE II: DE with a 0% chance of them ever getting added officially to this game. Austrians however could work while playing as the Teutons/Bohemians from a custom scenario or custom campaign besides being a non playable civ usually from some of the missions involving campaigns. It was apparently mentioned from somewhere that Forgotten Empires does not plan on making Prussians and Austrians on AoE III: DE meaning it is highly unlikely they are going to change their minds even if it seems to make perfect sense as to why they should be included for the AoE III: DE time period especially when considering the huge and complex tech tree for Germans and its number of unique units.

Ahh, I wish what you said wasn't true. It would be fun to have Austria...

Austrians are included from some of the missions as well from edited comment, but they are usually not playable besides getting control over them from one of the Bohemian missions. While Austrians are recognized and do exist from some missions the problem is that they never had an empire and never were independent during this time period.

Indians was a terrible umbrella civilization. I was glad that Dynasties of India splintered them into the Gurjaras, Hindustanis, Bengalis, and Dravidians.

My main concern is that if it at any point Forgotten Empires stops making new civs entirely then AoE II: DE is going to be abandoned at some point and probably not getting another remake either besides AoE IV which does not seem to be as good overall in comparison to AoE II: DE. Its custom scenarios for example are apparently still in "beta" and possibly might stay that way for at least a few more years or longer, has some issues with multiplayer similar to previous games of this series, and I have various other issues with AoE IV as well including these civs being harder to play as overall in comparison to AoE II: DE civs among other things.

It's kinda sad that Austrians are not in AoE:III regarding the fact that the 4 absolutely most important powers of the 16th and 17th centuries were the Austrians, Ottomans, Spanish and the French. The Habsburg-Ottoman wars were one of if not the biggest conflict of the early modern age.

Yeah Developers should add Austrians to AOE 3 for sure , maybe also to AOE 2.

It is a stupid excuse actually. Not only could the Austrians have been included for AoE III: DE or earlier with the original or from an expansion pack with original, but they possibly could have had a campaign as well for AoE III: DE or original in addition to Prussians (although contrary to the rest on this list it would be only 10 missions total and only five missions for each campaign), the Americas (basegame plus War Chiefs expansion), China, Japan, and India. I get that AoE III: DE has a bigger and more complex tech tree for each civ than AoE II: DE, but if Ensemble Studios/Forgotten Empires had known how successful Age of Empires III and Age of Empires III: DE were going to be in the first place maybe they might have reconsidered adding Austrians/Prussians to AoE III or AoE III: DE as well.

I think the only reason why Austrians and Prussians are not included in this game is because of the tech tree and Germans and nothing else. Also, most of AoE III: DE is not based on the 16th century. It is mostly based on 17th century until 19th century besides a few historical battles and Morgan Black.

Maybe in the future Forgotten Empires might reconsider because of adding Polish and Denmark to AoE III: DE this fall even if highly unlikely because that might require changing the tech tree with Germans and only time they changed tech tree was Indians with AoE II: DE by splitting them, but I still think that both Austrians and Prussians should have been included with AoE III: DE or AoE III to begin with even if it were to be only historical battles instead of an actual campaign. Both of them not being included to begin with AoE III: DE (similar to Swedes and Incas or added to this game as basegame from an expansion pack with the original AoE III) or AoE III is best described as a "missed opportunity".

I wonder if an update will bring the Austrians into AoE3 DE as a revolutionary nation only available to anyone playing as Germans.
