No arbs or paladins in late game.

Boyar is a good unit by itself, a little bit costly but fairly strong. However, missing bracer means their skirms arent that good in dealing with halbs. So infantry + siege is probably still the best option for Slavs in late game.

Their mid game is pretty solid due to their farm bonus tho.

They lack bombard cannons, so their siege has the fatal flaw of having no counter to being outranged and countered. Their infantry is god tier but takes a long time to get going and remains weak to ranged units, e.g. archers and scorpions. Boyars are hard to mass but better than paladins. Combined with their halbs, you can forget attacking slavs with knights/palladins. Using halbs of your own against slavs is a meatshield at best, as they get shredded by halb-resistant boyars, better infantry and massed siege.

The counter to slavs late game army is archers + bombard cannons + frontline meatshield, either light cav or halbs, and maybe add in onagers, as slav armies tend to be massed.
In early game their infantry is soso, and their archers are not something they'll want to tech into. So, depending on what you can scout from them, you'll want to go archer + counter. Castle age will mostly go knights + halbs + scorpions/mangonels then transition to boyars + siege, maybe he'll also throw in a monk or two, which is mainly weak to massed archers and choke points.

Depends on the game and the player. For civ strengths check the Technology Tree...
