Disable Attack Horn Sounds
Hi there, I am looking for some tricks to disable or remove those horn sound when you are attacked. As I am a casual player playing only with campaigns, that sound bleeds my ear. I don't care about how is it important to learn or to be warned when my enemies send some troops to my base.

Is there a way to do that? Will deleting sound files work? Any mods etc? Thanks in advance.

You can look up a mod for that. I use, I believe it's called "Attack Horn Disabler" or something to that effect. But it greatly softens the sound so it's much more tolerable.

I'll support that.
When you give up water and your fishing ships are being chased there is constant, constant, constant noise. Makes you miss actual new attacks on your land base. So, so, so stupid.

Personally I just wish there were different sound cues for military/economic/water attack alerts instead of all three being under the same sound effect.

This happened me yesterday on my Saladin campaign. I gave up the water instead focus on the land, moved my base. After everything collapsed in my base where it is situated near the sea, enemy galleys started to attack my walls without stopping. The whole game went with those horns until I destroyed all of the ships very much later.

That's my main problem, it keeps going with an alert for something you're aware off.

Problem is I don't know if the game could support this but it would be nice.
Sound effect for villagers being attacked, for buildings, for military. You have different warning for each and the ability to adjust the volume of each as well. I kind of want to know if my military is under attack but probably less so than villagers at least early game. Buildings I generally could not care less about.

There's a mod called "attack horn and bell disabler." It replaces the bell with a light chime. I just tested it out. It's rather pleasant.

As @MassMetalizer and @True Beard mentioned above, there is a mod called Attack Horn and Bell Disabler . That helped the with the issue, so no more annoying horns yay!

Cheers guys.

I think the alert sounds could use a bit of a rework honestly. I find you hear it so often that you just get used to hearing it and it no longer functions as an alert to warn you of something.

It took me a good 100 hours to stop panicking every time I attacked, the game had the horn go off, which made me think I was getting counterattacked ALL the time at my base. There's so little reason the horn should go off for things you can clearly see, yeah.

I definitely agree. You can get attacked so many times in short succession and it's easy to lose track of things.

Yeah I really don't get why they still won't let us at least turn it down. It's going off CONSTANTLY in big battles, so annoying... Luckily there's mods, but still annoying.
