Let Bring Fortified Wood Walls and Gates into the Game
So I know this is Probably gonna Make some of you wonder Why the ♥♥♥♥ would you want something so useless

Well To be completely Honest With you I Play Skirmish Most of the Time and Like fighting against AI so I get to build Forts and Castles and ♥♥♥♥ so like and aesthetic thing and I was just Playing Through Campaigns and thinking about it like it wouldn't be that Powerful seems practical and not really that hard to implement so like Why not ..... Just A Lotta cool stuff in Campaigns like the Fortified Towers I mean it's not that hard to destroy them their survival capabilities are just that above the Bombard tower I'd say and a lil bit more damage than the final upgrade which is the Keep (I think the Keep is the last one) so It wouldn't be that hard to give Civilizations these techs that would be able to use it .... So in conclusion things from the Campaign could be Implemented into the main game and balanced rather easily

Tell Me your thoughts

They are inside the game. Pick byzantines + cuman allied.

For scenarios, you can use a trigger to unlock Revetments tech; upgrades regular Palisades to Fortified Palisades.
There's no fortified wooden gates, unfortunately.

Honestly, Revetments should just be a standard Castle age tech since stone walls utterly dwarf fortified palisades anyway and things like Rams become an option for everyone but I'm not a developer, top 2% meta ELO, or a millionaire streamer so I don't know what I'm talking about.

If I am not mistaken palisade walls are slightly faster to build than stone walls. However, I do not think that stone walls are very often used if only intended for protecting villagers with quick walling.

could also be an interesting unique tech or such for the cumans and goths or a whole new civ
Palisade: 7s, gate 30s
Stone wall: 10s, gate 70s

Byza palisade / gate with Cuman ally in Imperial have 467 / 747 HP

Revetments was actually planned but cut from the game:

I guess this would've made Goths too strong or something.

I would like to see it as well, either for a new civ or existing civ. It could also be a new university tech that is given to a handful of civs instead of fortified walls upgrade, either or situation.

Probably would be fine balance wise. Yes they'd be cheaper than stone walls and tougher than palisades but I could see it not being unfair, especially if it's locked behind the university. Most siege equipment in Imperial will go straight through no problem.

That is a big difference especially with stone gates. Stone gates only take up three tiles and yet they cost 15 extra stone and take a lot more than three times as long to build.

Yea this is true No doubt but the Idea here is to double wall with your Stone wall or use Palisades (I just call it Wooden Walls) inside your town and cut off things I mean the same can be done with Stone but at this point you all made good points

I see why when I go into pvp because of the crazy amount of stuff you guys do not intent on defending which just leaves one side completely open to be dominated I don't really play PvP much anymore because of it I just figured there would be more strategy and stuff instead of bomb rushing the opponents

It's a strange exclusion and unlikely to be game breaking as a university tech in lieu of fortified walls for some civs.
Gates are 4 tiles actually, only realized recently when practicing my quickwall / boarlure scenario #roadto3k

I know, that's basically my argument. They could of had it as a University tech, I don't know, a decade ago and nothing would really break, maybe be a bother in Black Forest turtle matches or something idk.

There's not really a reason as to why we don't have it, only that we don't.

It is still 10 more stone or wood than normal walls.
