Tributes not working in Campaigns

I'm playing the Grand Dukes campaign and in 2 separate levels every time I pay tribute to a team to make them an Ally, nothing happens. It happened in level 2 The Wolf and The Lion when I was trying to hire the English Mercenaries and now it's happening again in level 4 Unholy Marriage. I had to stop playing the campaign because I don't think I can beat the level if those teams turn into enemies instead of allies. I thought the problem would be fixed soon but it still hasn't.

Please use the search function and the correct forum for bug reports. The issue is tracked and apparently fixed for the next patch/build of the game.
