And the higher the Elo, the wirse it gets. So they definitely do not feel to strong. And if they somehow do, just play some Persians/Franks/Magyars/Slavs/Spanish/Malians, who are free and feel stronger.
Low sample size but I've not seen win rates this low vs bad civ match ups. 26% win rate vs Teutons. TWENTY SIX PERCENT!
I'm used to seeing 40% win rate for bad match ups. I can't remember but I think it's like a 50 ELO difference for like a 5% difference in win rate. It's an edge but nothing major. It's when it gets to 10% difference between to civs you feel it. You're playing at the edges of your skill. Either you're playing your best or your worst. With Georgians vs Teutons for example you're playing literally entire brackets worth of ELO difference. If you're a 1200 player vs another 1200 player and you're Georgians it's like you've been turned into a <1000 ELO player. It's not that you can't win. You just have to make mostly correct choices and they have to make mostly mistakes.
This is just a long winded way of saying. No they are NOT OP.
Of the two, the Georgians is the least interesting, and they're giving me this vibe like Bengalis Part 2. In-your-face levels of gimmicky. You will use the unique unit.
I'm going to curb my rant there because I can go on and on about the two latest DLC civs. Maybe I'll make a thread all about the DLC civs.
Do it!
Georgians overall seems more like an experimental civilization that might be more practical for playing as from single player (campaigns, custom scenarios, and skirmishes) and for multiplayer team games, but not necessarily for 1v1 multiplayer. Only exception is a pro player playing as the Georgians vs. someone who is not a pro playing as some other civilization besides the Georgians, Armenians, or some other weak civilization for 1v1 multiplayer having a more fair chance of winning as the Georgians from 1v1; although, it probably would be embarrassing for a pro player as the Georgians to lose against an intermediate player as the Teutons on 1v1.
