I was permanently banned

hey I was permanently banned for leaving games.

First of all its this stupid games fault, any other game you get a sound notification when the game starts so you know when to join in. But no way im waiting 10 minutes in game lobby for a game to start. i will untab and do something else meanwhile and check in time to time to see if im in a lobby yet. Well it happened a few times that I missed the game starting and when i joined in its already 2 minutes too late. In this case i would just go afk or leave. Yes maybe it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥ behavior from me but to suspend me permanently with no way to appeal? I bought all the dlcs and and everything way past 100 usd in this game with 3000 played hours.

If this was so serious then they should atleast have given me a warning first, like if i dont stop doing that they will remove my game access. But I only got a few time limited suspensions and no warning that I will lose the game ??

Tried contacting support several times and they dont care at all. Just say i was permanently banned for leaving games and griefing.

What can i do?? This is by far my favorite game with more than 3000 hours in multiplayer!! I really have no other game to play now.

You were already warned tho. The times u received a limited suspensions was their way of saying this type of behavior isn't acceptable. Its debatable whether they need to literally spell it out for you i.e. saying "u will be banned after x times." Like what did you expect when you repeated the actions that got you a limited suspension?

What you are doing is essentially griefing. Others player dont know what happened to u. As far as they know you just join games and then afk/leave everytime.

I am sorry, but the ban seems pretty reasonable imo. You were warned. You didn't change your behavior and now you are surprised of the outcome?

u said u were banned multiple times. I doubt they just gave u a 24 hour ban and the next thing a permanent ban.

Aren't u just banned from MP? Why would they ban SP content as well?

Anyways u can try for a repeal and I only see it working if they did something extreme like 1 time 24hr ban then a permanent ban. I would be honest when it comes to this tho as u are just wasting your time if u arent.

I never touched single player and it doesnt interest me. I have solely been playing team games. MP is where the game is at. For me taking away multiplayer access is like losing the entire game because its the only thing i play.

I had multiple bans before but before they permanently suspended me I had been behaving quite well so i really dont understand it. Before i was suddenly permanently suspended I had a 5 minute ban because of leaving early because my teammate suddenly quit before me and no point playing 3 vs 4.

Been emailing them numerous times and they refuse to tell me why im banned just that i have been griefing and afk :(

You are contradicting yourself here.

You can't be behaving well in the game if u have received multiple bans before. The best u can say here is you have reformed. The 5 min ban is a different type of ban I believe. You have automatic ban (leaving games too early/queue dodging) and u have manual report bans.

Again you are contradicting yourself. "have been griefing and afk." That's your reasons...

I am sorry, but the ban seems justify the more we talk about it. I personally think removing ppl that join the game for 2min and then leaving/afk is better for the community. I wouldn't want these ppl on my team or on the enemy team. They just ruin games and waste everyone's time. Not much else to say here beside make another steam acc and rebuy the game assuming its not an IP ban. Only this time actually improve your behavior.

Well that's subjective. I am with them when it comes to this, but I see your reasoning too.

I also looked at your profile and it seems u play ranked TG primilary. Leaving/afking on ranked queue is a very bad idea when it comes to any competitive games as ppl are far more likely going to report u in those instances. U probably generated enough reports for a permanent ban.

Its just that u can't say you haven't been warned or that they didn't give u a reason. They clearly have done that.

I'll be honest I'm not entirely sanguine about players being banned for leaving games or queues. Things happen.
Windows can crash, coffee gets spilled on keyboards, pets knock internet cables out of the routers. People get called into work or have family emergencies. Are they all going to be penalised for things that aren't their fault?

hypothetical question. Assume I have a ♥♥♥♥ internet and I DC within the first 10min with a 95% chance of happening every game. I only play team games. Should I be allowed to play the game in MP? Should ppl have to tolerate my ♥♥♥♥ connection and have their time wasted? Should my teammate have to lose elo for no reason if I play ranked? Oh and I live in a third world country where the internet is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Point I am trying to make is OP probably has done it enough time where it was debatable between "♥♥♥♥ happens" and "intentionally griefing." If this wasn't the case, then OP was banned unjustly, but seeing how he admitted he has been banned multiple times I doubt this is the case.

I have 9k of Dota 2. You won't find a single person who has been permabanned for leaving games. I played several other PvP games (from FPS to fighting games), and I can't recall a single one that permabans people from leaving games.

You know why? Because Valve (among others) isn't stupid. Internet fails, electricity fails, emergencies happen, even their servers fail. To block a person from multiplayer from a game they paid real money for is, once again, idiotic beyond belief, and, tbh, borderline criminal.

So gtfo with your lies and trying to justify something so anti-consumer that even EA would be ashamed to do.

OP received multiple temp ban before this. He was saying how he wasn't warned. He was. A higher tier level of ban is justified again which I dont exactly think is a perma ban.
He also got reported for griefing so OP probably left a bunch of ranked games which can be seen as intentionally throwing games.

Idk this is what the OP wrote. So u tell me if he got banned just from "leaving" the game.

Leaving/afking in ranked a bunch of time can be considered griefing. If you actually bother to read the whole interaction instead of jumping around u would have known he really didnt get banned from just "leaving." Reality is he left/afk enough time where it was debatable between intentionally throwing/griefing and "♥♥♥♥ happens irl."
