For AOE2, sadly things are lacked. There is only one new civ. I recommend looking up custom campaigns like Aegidus, Romans vs Barbarians...
Yeah the ported AOE1:DE Campaigns are really showing their age lol. When I said the new ones are good I specifically meant the new ones - Trajan / Sargon / Pyrrhus.
Also female villages + unique skins for seperate unit upgrade tier + too many good decorations ingame editor. It's a treat for the few who spent their time enjoying it.
It took me about 30 minutes to finish one mission.
You get a new faction for AoE2DE and you can play the AoE1 factions in skirmish.
Ofcourse, AoE1 comes with all the shortcomings. Lets be frank, AoE1 never was really great or even close as good as AoE2.
However, i played about 3 skirmish matches 4v4 with Ai and it was fun.
It might be a lighter version than AoE2, but because of that it plays differently and i find that to be quite fun.
I think during the current sale, the DLC was worth it.
Its like 8€ and for that its enough content.
And i heard they might release even more campaigns.
If you want to only play AoE2, then its not worth it.
Then its just one new faction with 2 new units.
If you like to play AoE1, then its easily worth it.
Also now it is only 10 bucks, it's better than any burger out there.
False because it still costs $15 USD at least on Steam (although it might cost different from other countries outside of the U.S), but it is experiencing a 50% discount right now until November 29th.
I find the core AoE2 amazing, not sure about this DLC, but it looks good enough. Maybe it's not what people expected, but hey, it is way cheaper now.
AOE2DE + ROR, which is 4.99 + 7.49 somewhat equals to 13 bucks of US.
I haven't mentioned the AOE2+ROR bundle which goes with discount of 17%, which will bring down the price for little more than $10 USD.
So no, the discount nowadays is below $15, as opposed to when ROR release - at that time I purchased the bundle which cost me $15 USD in theory. ROR at that time was 100% of its price.
So no, my man Dead4Life got it correctly.
I looked at RoR before I commented. It still said 14.99 USD (because I live in the United States), but cut in half for $7.50 USD until November 29th. I was however unaware of any bundles from AoE II: DE and cannot seem to find any bundles on Steam for AoE II: DE.
