I download/subscride grid mod but no download, why is that?

I have the same issue. I susbcribe but it doesn't download or install the MOD

I also have the very same issue but in my case I can't download the Interactive Building Order from CIcero. I have uninstalled the game, delete my profile folder, unsubscribed/subscribed the mod from the web page and the game client and nothing. It just sits there "downloading" with no feedback at all of what is happening. I'd rather use steam workshop instead of this in game client since I never had this kind of problem in HD. Not even a manual installation is possible. I suspect this has something to do with the mod size and the client just not being able to handle it.

As I stated I used both to get the same result. It's not a matter of where you subscribe to the mods, it's probably something related to how the game client downloads and installs it. They should have kept the manual installation process, it would have saved my day

The same question The current problem is that the system user name has special symbols. You can create a new system user name in pure English, which is dedicated to playing AOE. Another feasible solution is to find your friends and send you local mod files, which you can also use in your own mod folder Waiting for official update

how do u create a new system user name? i have the mod problem too since the release of the new patch

Have anyone find solution to this problem? I unistalled the game several times, deleted a :C\Users\games\AoEII folder, unsubbed every mods on the official webpage (with my steam AND Microsoft account...) When i try to sub to a mod, it start spinning, says "downloading" and nothing. In the harddrive creates a folder dedicated for the mod, but its empty. Even the offical mod does the same, what i have earned in events....
Anyone?

I have the same kind of problem, mods for which i subsscrib don't appear. I try, like anyone, a lot of different solution, nothing seems to work.

I had the same problem because my Windows profile had a strange character in a letter (í, ú, ó, etc.). I solved it by downloading the mods in another Windows profile where I had the game and copying the mod folder and pasting it into my original profile but in local mods. Do not try to change the name of the Windows profile because it would bring many more dangerous problems.
