Just don't buy it if you don't like it or disagree with the pricing. It's a very nice DLC and two new civs are pretty damn fine though.

with no new architecture? no new maps? cmon man, this is just like return of rome all over again. aoe DE should have been like return of rome we all know it. throwing money at these companies is only gonna make the problem worse. you telling me $20 can get you a game like Project Zomboid, and this DLC is worth $15!? please. and im not even gonna respond to the other weirdo who keeps his profile private, probably has less games in his account than me anyway.

Tbh here many games can be paid/acquired for much less or even free but that hardly is a point if one doesn't have any interest in such games. I personally care about three games and nothing else, one of them is AoE and that's why I don't mind this DLC although I certainly agree with you about its price and its current lack of features (mentioned architecture).

Return of Rome, besides being basically a whole game (AoE1DE) is bit by bit getting new content and there is no reason why would this be different, especially considering its initial cost (I got mine via pre-order but still).

That being said, Bohemians are by far my favourite civ but these two new here are both way too good and nice to play with them, both are almost matching Bohemians (Hussite Wagons are unmatched 🥹) and I can see myself grinding many nice hours with both. Meanwhile new content and fixes is almost certainly going to come and with Christmas holidays being near it's possible to get lucky and grab this DLC with a nice discount to make its price more reasonable.

its not like you need to buy it asap, just save up some money every month, eventually you can buy it
