And now I get Bronze medals everywhere instead of the Golds that I deserve. What a horrible feature. Feels more like a punishment.
I guess we would have to find some sort of work around, wink cobra wink/
And I don't really want to redo the mission again , quite tired and meaningless right?
Redo it and get the golden medal , for what?
Is it worth for players to redo the campaigns ?If do so , how can they be worth? Once you finished the mission on hard already , so do it again through paying double time to tell other people wow you have so much free time but not 'you are really skilled on campaign'
Cheats don't work as they disable the achievements
i guess they tied the medals to be invalidated with the cheats, meh i dont want to play them again.
- Continue with the campaigns and missions that you haven't finished yet. Once all of those are golden, you can return to the bronze ones
- Don't care so much about the medal you see, YOU know that you did it on hard so it will give you a sense of what you already played successfully. And who knows, once you are done with all the rest, you might just return to them for fun or try to get achievements or try to get a fast time anyways.
I just don't understand why it's so hard to give people the medal equal to the difficulty of the level they beat.
Because this information was never saved before this patch. It was only saved if you beat the mission at all (so the game can give you the next mission of the campaign).
So they had to make a choice ... give all people gold awards even if they beat the level on a lower level, which is fine, or piss all who actually beat the level on hard by giving everyone the bronze medal.
Because they have no way to know at what difficulty levels you beat the missions.
I'm a bit salty about this too, since I did most missions on moderate and some on hard, and only got bronze medals, but heh, this is why I stopped playing when I heard about this change: I strongly suspected I'd get screwed over. Given that I overplayed AoE2 DE (90 hours in three weeks) I'll wait a bit, play some Warhammer Total War, and get back to AoE2 DE once I'm not burned out anymore.
