game speed question

what is slow, casual, normal, fast? what are the actual differences

it is mostly based on the time u have to play. but also imprtantly faster game speed means u have to multitask better as the AI or other talented players can out speed you if u cant do stuff fast enough. basically game speed increases or decreases. normal works for me when im starting a map fast helps after i boomed

basically its just the whole game goes faster.
and like jeffrey said dont do it against AI or it will probably swarm you with troops before u can react. u can slow it down i believe but i prefer to keep it on fast when im grinding achievements. or normal when i do story missions.

no i mean literally what are the speeds?

i play against hardest ai just fine on normal but the speed is not 1:1 real world seconds.

Dont know about the rest but the "normal" speed is 1.7x faster in relation to real life seconds (I guess its called normal because its the standard speed that is played on rankeds, tournaments, etc)

Yeah slow is 1:1, and the other speeds are 1.5, 1.7, and 2.0 times that speed.

Basically I think the original assumption was that people would play much slower in older RTS games, they all seem to assume a slower game speed as a default.

But then multiplayer settings all assumed a much higher speed so games don't take forever.
