Unable to buy Return of Rome DLC
Hi
When I try to purchase the Return of Rome DLC, I get the error "This item is currently unavailable in your region".

Any pointers on how to get around this issue? My region/country is UAE.

To my knowledge, AoE 2 DE and its DLCs became unavailable in UAE after the release of the Lords of the West DLC. There's sadly no official reason given but my guess is campaign content.

Any way to change the region then? :-)

Changing region can get your account banned. The only way you can get it is by asking somebody from a region which can purchase it to you to gift it to you, probably inside a trade.

Well, as random as it seems, I can only imagine that the Crusade missions from the Longshanks and Hautevilles campaigns were responsible for the ban (which tbh makes no sense as you already had Saladin in the original game).

Are you sure this works? I've seen others games where when you try this it tells you that player cannot receive the game because it is not available in their region. It would still be a region-locked key.

Not sure, never tried, though I know that it worked for some people.

Well, I can understand that with some games, but not really with AoE 2 DE. So no one who comes from these zones can participate in some tournaments because they can't play all civilizations. It's kind of sad.
