Thank you for your post. Age of Empires II requires Windows 10 or above to play. There have been no announcements regarding a Mac version. However, Age of Empires II will be coming to console: https://news.xbox.com/en-us/2022/10/25/the-console-age-is-coming-to-age-of-empires/

How does one even play with a joypad? Can you imagine cross-platform PvP? 1 PC vs 7 Xboxes and the PC will win easily just by having the proper user interface.

Xbox supports Mouse and Keyboard for ages now.

I played aoe2 on Mac way back in the day on Gameranger, those were good times =D.

Lots of port forwarding, enabling DMZ just to have someone be able to host. I even have a FB group of the remaining mac players. But we're all on PC now, 10.6.8 was the last version that aoe2 worked on for macintosh. I think apple is now 10.18 or somethin? I lost track since high sierra.

But ye, it was somethin about Apple dropping support for "Rosetta" w/e that is, that made aoe2 no longer able to run on future operating systems.

I can report it plays OK in Parallels / Win 11 arm with 10 core m1 max cpu 32 core gpu 32 gb ram
