So you would say that all of the players are equally skilled and the outcome is decided by their gaming chair?
In Starcraft wins who knows more shortcuts and squeeze them faster, very little strategy involved. Warcraft had such a bad MP that its mods became more popular than it giving rise to a whole new genre of games, and it doesn't even have random maps.
hmm, well, I don't play ranked games, but I watched countless of videos how the best players went at each other.
The start is almost always the same and that's the boring part in my opinion.
But the longer the game goes, the interesting it gets.
Good luck managing your vills, and your military units at different spots at the same time.
That's not easy to do. SO much for macro or micro.
Well, you can pop out a bunch of range units. But experienced players know how to counter that easily and your plan basically disappears. What's plan B?
The strategies for late games is different and depends on the civs people play with as every civ got their own bonuses, strenghts and weaknesses. If you don't use those to your advantage, that alone will make you lose to experienced players. That's all for ranked.
I love the campaigns and the coop. So, there you have the situation that you must work with whatever is given to you and that is always different in every mission. You have to adapt.
If they are too easy for you, switch difficulty. Not all, but some missions will give you a good and sweaty time on hard.
AoE2 is not a fan fouvrite and beloved, well sold game for no reason, my friend.

I'll give you the benefit of doubt and try ignore that this is likely a troll post.
If you use micro, you can counter the enemies towers. If you use macro, you can get to imp quicker than your opponent and treb down his castles. So just in the one strategy you mentioned, there is both micro and macro counters.
What ELO are you? Have you watched any mid (> 1100) to high ELO games (> 1700 ELO)?
Age of Empires 2 is known to be one of the more in-depth Real TIme Strategy games ever made. It has multiple resource types, various technologies, and a ton of civilizations. I think your perception is warped by your lack of understanding of the game.
Actually you know what? Go out and find a job son. Because clearly you're bored AF!
Hey buddy. I think you got the wrong door. The leather club is two blocks down.
He didnt even make a single trebushet
He does not even have Dark Dinner achievement which means he did not even complete tutorials
If you dont mind could we get any info on what game modes you play?
Quickplay does not really care much about skill of players and is mostly populated by low lvl players drunk people or people that try wacky strats
Unfortunately Quickplay is a joke. In ranked, even players on the lowest elo eat both boars in the dark age. Eternal is totally right, if you dont even know the basics, you probably shoudln't make a post like this.
