Temporary Service Errors & Latency - I, II, III DE

Greetings, Explorers! We’re getting reports of service errors and latency including the following:

• Delays and/or errors with joining/starting games and difficulty creating custom lobbies.

If you’re experiencing an issue with Networking, such as connectivity problems, Lobby bugs, or problems joining Multiplayer Games:

1. In these situations, your Networking Logs are the most helpful
   
2. You can find these Logs by looking in this folder: C:\Users\ [[YOUR WINDOWS USERNAME]] \Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\logs
   
3. Network Logs look like this, and contain the date and time of the session you most recently started (example): 2021.08.20-12.03.37.txt

To use the Enhanced Logging build:

1. In some circumstances, we need additional logging information to better understand your problem, and that’s when we ask that you use the Enhanced Logging build
   
2. To do that, locate Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition in your Steam Games Library
   
3. Right-click the game title and select Properties at the bottom of the menu
   
4. In the window that appears, select the BETAS tab on the left
   
5. In the available field, enter this beta access code: 4YH2SkfG7CK5yanvrXE9qj8b
   
6. You’ll then see that you’ve been given access to enhanced_logging and a button will appear asking you if you’d like to opt in
   
7. Opt in or select the enhanced_logging beta, and Steam will automatically update your build

IMPORANT NOTE: Network Logs generated with the Enhanced Logging build can get quite large, you’ll want to ensure you switch back to the normal build when you’ve been able to reproduce your problem and send the relevant log to our Customer Support team[support.ageofempires.com].

While we continue to work to resolve this issue, some players have reported that client restarts can help.

Since the latest patch i have been mostly unable to see any custom lobbies in multiplayer and even ranked lobbies are not getting created most of the time. I get notified "could not create game. timed out". this is really frustrating and I literally cannot play at all because of it. I did not have this problem before the expansion was released

Same Problem, it's pretty frustrating and has been consistent and in place for days. I also supported this bug report and post - seems similar so let's hit up both threads.

It has been a week since I started having this problem, everytime I try to join a game I get the:

Could not create game. Timed Out.

The only "solution" I found was to first try to find teamgames 2v2 3v3 and 4v4, then the queue will start, I cancel it and select 1v1 again and find match. It will actually find a match after 2 or 3 minutes (like normal), but the problem is you won't get the elo points (I got it from 1 out of 4 or 5 games).

Reinstalling the game, updating windows (as I saw someone suggested), driver updates, TCP and UDP ports check, none of these worked as a solution.

There's another alternative I found, I got a smurf account, same computer, same configuration, same everything, and it worked normally... hope they fixt this, I guess it affects a percentage of some (not all) accounts.

Been nearly impossible to get a ranked teamgame today, no issues prior to the latest DLC

Same here with AOE2. Not able to see any games in the Lobby Browser. Not being able to create a lobby. Very slow loading times, or game just not starting from Lobby at all. Kind of experiencing this from the last update on. Not sure if the timing is 100% accurate.

Yes. I can not play multiplayer, unfortunatelly I play AOE DE in the end of the week, and this wekend was impossible. So, Sad.

Bug bug bug...

age of empires is the most beautiful game in the world but playing it with all these bugs is an absurd bore !!
The game keeps crashing, every time I try to create a team it gives me an error message and the screen freezes, the only solution is to press alt + f4, I have no possibility to do anything else.
This afternoon everything was going slowly.
You have to create the team 3 times to be able to join 4 players in a lobby.

FIX BUGS please STOP DLC... FIX BUGS before!!!

Apart from the occasional AdvertisementJoinEvent error, even if I can play ranked, I can't see the stats of other players at the ending scoreboard (when hovering mouse over their profile icon), and I think my ELO doesn't change after the match either.

YEAH!! Same here... I can only play in the end of the week too, last week was the same, really sad about that.

Bought DLC to play. Not possipble. getting these 0x0000000Y failures all day. reinstal no help.
