Fix the stuttering please

After 3 patches claiming to fix the "stuttering" in multiplayer it has only gotten worse for me. Don't really understand why this is still a problem for me. I have a stronger performing PC than anyone else I play with, who claim not to have problems with it. I don't have internet issues on any other games I play either, but even if it is an internet problem, the solution should not be to speed up the game to catch up, this is literal game-breaking engine design. Ranked play is impossible at higher levels because I get a stutter every 15-20 seconds or so and then the game speeds up, which means every time I try to micro archers against a mangonel, there's a 25% chance that the game is going to speed up on me and I'm just going to lose my army instantly.

Any known fixes for this? I'm tired of waiting for the developers to fix it in a patch.

it could be your internet but i had this problem when i installed the enhanced graphics dlc after that the game stuttered a lot even in campaign so i did a performance test and it passed so it wasnt my pc and it was in campaign so it wasnt my internetand i quit the game and stopped playing for a while because of it when i returned to try it again i completley uninstalled the game and all addons and then re installed and it was fixed maybe try that

So I think I found the fix, at least for me. I moved the game folder from a secondary M.2 drive to the OS M.2 Drive, so your standard C:/ drive. The stutters have dramatically decreased since then.

My benchmark however always ran perfectly fine and it was just in-game that was acting up.

Ok, the definitive fix for me was to turn off Record Games. I’m not sure if it’s possible to turn off Ranked Recordings, but for Custom games this definitely did the trick for me. My GPU usage does not dip every 15 seconds anymore (presumably that was the Record Game File updating?).

It ran better with Record Games off, but still sometimes a freeze here and there. Now I've uninstalled Malwarebytes and they are all truly gone!
