Bring back the OLD MAIN MENU

The new main menu is just absolutely unnecessary and pointless. It doesn't streamline the process of joining/hosting a game and the new pop up windows are so out of place that it takes the essence from the game. The art style of the Age of Empires 2 menu with the shields is iconic, and it's been completely removed and replaced by out of context random and irrelevant cartoons that don't even match what they're describing. The overall UI is also extremely out of place. While before we had the classic Parchment style pop ups and menus, now it's completely overhauled to be a modernish transparent window pop up that looks horrendous.

Please bring a hotfix to bring back the old menu and the old style of windows. As per the Civ selection window, I personally think that it's pretty neat.

i concur with this hell now i cant even find the history tab to read up on civs and that stuff a major f up imo

I'm not sure if this is the case for all the artwork, but the one for single player Campaigns is from a campaign (the Joan of Arc campaign), unless I am greatly mistaken. I much prefer the shields from before. They looked cooler. Maybe someone will make a UI mod that'll change it back to the original. If no one does, I'm going to use one from the AoE1 Anniversary challenges (I missed out on them, but someone put the ui in the Mods workshop).

The new menu is rubish, they remowed the options section, the mods section and the History Section, what Gives?, all this changes to introduce a stupid Batlle Royale Mode because everybody else has one? pure BS.
