TC can always hit adjacent targets, otherwise there would be no need to be afraid of it in feudal age :)

Murder hole applies to castles and towers.

Umm not to sound mean or anything but.... generally U DON'T keep in mind that in a lot of cases this degrades the performance of those structures by allowing them to always auto-target rams instead of units wich more often then not is a huge waste of fire power as it takes obscene amounts of time to kill a ram with castle/tower fire and would instead be better served to have them clear out most of the enemy troops to the point where u afford to move in a 10-15 villager crew to quickly dismantle the rams....
That being said there are some cases where u may want this tech especially when an opponent parks its xbows at the base of yr tower/castle
PS:TCs have no minimum range

Its not about adjacent. Its about under. If you are directlly hitting a tower using meelee unit, murder hole enables the tower to attack it. But for a TC I think murder holes is not required.

For me, "adjacent" means "next to", same as being "under" a tower. Basically, being able to attack the tower/castle/TC with a melee weapon :)
TCs can always attack units, no matter where they are, even in Dark and Feudal Age (= they don't need murder holes).
