Fix the online. It is an utter joke that this great rts game is hindered by a complete crap online system. Its been what a year now? and somehow the multiplayer still drops matches CONSTANTLY. takes a minimum of 5 to 10 mins to find a game, sometimes 20 mins! WHY!!! fix it my god

That's probably because the guy that you got matched with decided to bounce. Not your fault, and not really anything the developers can do about that either.

I've had 1 dropped match in over 100 games.

dropped 6 times few weeks ago. Been able to play around 20 games without issues until today where I dropped 3/3 games IN A ROW. My connection is fine and I don't wanna hear anything about "sure, blame it on your ISP" because anything else and all games work fine. It's completely broken. I went from 1700 Elo to 1490 due to either dropping myself or this happening to teammates.

Dare Devil/x/ ranked. I have updated drivers, i move around a bit and have tried playing on three different internet connections all having strong internet connection, my computer is also more than capable of running the game, etc etc. And its not just me it happens to, every friend who plays gets disconnects constantly! people use to say it only happened around new patches but that is simply not true. It happens constantly and has been a problem sense the games launch!

and im not trying to bash age or DE here. I absolutely love this game, its probs my fav rts ever made!!! but its really disappointing and frustrating how unreliable the matchmaking is. I always walk away from my PC at this point and do something for 5 to 10 minutes knowing that by the time I get back the match will hopefully be setup. Then the match starts and its a team game or something and a player drops, or just a 1v1 and the guy drops 4 minutes in, then the other team says gg and quits or your stuck there wasting whats now like 15 minutes... and then im back to repeating this same cycle of waiting another 10 minutes for the game! its insane. imagine adding to that your trying to play a team game with a friend and this happens, now you got multiple people waiting and time can be somewhat limited given a good game of age can take upwards to 40 minutes to an hour, to 2 hours or more.

Add to that waiting time, tons of times a player drops mid match found, so before the game even starts you are thrown back into the matchmaker, and sometimes this even resets what your que times been so your priority on this list is now lower and then your back to the near guarantee of waiting a minimum of 5 or more minutes

Im not even done with the problems, the amount of times i have to restart the game to even get the matchmaking working again (because after a match drops or you play a game it seems to like to glitch out) is also insane! again these aren't new problems they have been here sense day one. I know im not the only one having these issues, i see others post about them all the time, i even watch streams were the person streaming has to do constant restarts, or experiences one of these many issues.

I can honestly deal with pathing and balance or whatever people think is the hot topic of the month with age, its great that a lot of these things have been getting worked on to, the monthly updates are actually really great to see! but the online has been suffering sense day one and addressing this I think would really help the lifeblood of this fantastic rts.

TheAfroNinja I'm not really talking about losing connection mid game im talking about matchmaking before the game even loads in/starts. And I was going to agree with you on people not losing connection as i do rarely ever drop from a match, but then I thought about the amount of team games i've played as of late and the people that just seem to disappear the literal moment the game starts or a minute in and i'm not sure if Age is to blame or the player. I'm sorry I will never go through the effort to record it but i am more than willing to bet that tonight or tomorrow I will play a ranked game and have a player get dropped before 5 minutes in. It even seems some people just accept this on the 4v4 ranked games as they see the player drop the moment the game starts and they just continue to play (i wonder why maybe its because they have been waiting 20 minutes to play an actual game). And while this somehow wont happen to you, i'm also willing to bet its going to happen to my friends who play as well over the course of their next 5 to 10 games of age. But again what im really trying to talk about is the actual matchmaking process, before the match even begins. I just wrote a ton about my experience, and while you have 100 games under your belt I believe I am closer to the 1000 or so ranked games alone, and thats just on DE. I also have probs over 500 or so hours on this game so I feel like my claims here can be somewhat backed up by personal experience, and the experience of the crew I often play with, as they share the same set of issues I've already described.

Idk man i have yet to meet a person I know in real life with this experience but congrats you have had such a smooth experience. I have yet to have such luck in this games matchmaking.

nah only in spirit. I've been playing in the states and i really don't think its internet I've played plenty other games without any kind of connection issue, ill stream or be on discord and the match making f's up and its not like ive lost connection, everyones still there, still have internet, or ill have other people in the matchmaker and it happens to them to, and i have played this game on three or more dif internet connections all strong. I mean I'm sure you watch t90 if you have played the game this much or atleast heard of him, hes like one of the most popular age commentators and i hear him talking and making jokes about the connection issues to. The guy has to restart the game allllll the time because the match maker or the games spectator system glitch out like i described above. Literally watch him commentate on the rebull tournament they had recently and he has to restart the game after every live game because not just the match maker gets glitched out after a match ends, but the spectator mode does to! I've even played on another computer, my laptop which is plenty capable of playing the game and its the same exact issues I have on the desktop which has much stronger specs.

He's always complaining about spectator issues yeah, but i haven't heard him talk about connection issues in a couple months.

Dude i really don't get what you cant get through your head. The matchmaking in this game is f'd. Im glad you have had a smooth 100 games but that is not the experience i have ever had owning this game. All my friends moan every game we play together how friggen long its going to take just to get a ranked game going. Its always a battle, like the battle im having with you because you are just so out of your mind if you think this games matchmaking is anything shy of a glitchy messed up time sync, and it has been sense launch. its always a topic of discussion every friggen month of the game on the community hub. sense launch it has been. just go on the community hub right now and type in the word connection, and read through the pages of posts for august and you will see how special you really are because people have problems with the online in this game beyond me, and its the same every single month. I have people on my friends list who gave this game a negative review for the soul reason of how much of a mess the online matchmaking system is. Send me a friend request on steam and ill send you all the recordings this week and onwards of games I play where a player gets dropped within the first 5 minutes. and thats not even covering the main issue im talking about which is the matches dropping before the game even loads in and starts.
