How the ♥♥♥♥ do you defend against early scout attacks/Auto send vills back to work
If I dont get a satisfactory answer then I am done with this game. Been ♥♥♥♥ed over one too many times by games habitual micromanaging and other parts of its design that I despise.

I USED to be able to click send vills back to work and watch the useless ♥♥♥♥s run back to their little jobs but now only option is ungarrison forcing me to sort out all of my farming, lumber, and stone all over again. This is actually getting worse with updates. I regret buying it and will remember this ♥♥♥♥ in future before dealing with Microcrap.

Edit: At this point I think i am pretty much done. I am able to enjoy the game sometimes but unfairness and ♥♥♥♥ i dislike angers me too much. I simply need to not play games that are remotely competitive.

Best defense against scouts = walls. Either resources walls (palisades around lumbercamp/mill) or full wall. Make spears to defend yourselves (3 to 4), don't overinvest as opponent can just go archers and kill your spears easily. Regarding the return to work hotkey, nothing was changed, so just garrison vils in danger and use the return to work hotkey.

That video is 20 minutes long, yet you replied in 5 minutes.

Even on 2x speed that would still take 10 minutes to watch.

The only conclusion is that you did not watch it, and judging by your past behavior on these forums you're a troll and should be banned.

You've been spamming forum with these whiny "X is OP" threads for months, but when people offer you realistic solutions to your problems you dismiss them.

For me button just wasnt even there i read labels and even paused game to to attempt to figure out why it was missing. (Been like this for weeks) When I unpaused they sent more scouts and picked off vills since i couldnt see anything to do at that point to do. Then I starting raging, clicked alt-f4. My main mistake I guess was thinking towers and TC's have any defense utility.

But archers are a explicitly OP unit. Only viable way i have seen to fight arbilestars are by pre picking a civ with magonel bonuses. Skirmishers can barely survive in a 1:1 battle and no melee unit can get close. (Actually i am remembering wrong i had a game with 20 archery producing max tech skirmishers all going at once and couldnt out pace arbalist spam.)

I no longer see relevance in watching esports players because the level of play leaves nothing to be learned for someone like me. Also you sent a vid with timestamp its not a crazy expectation that you were wanted me to watch timestamp.

relax man. against scouts make a few spears, just 2-3 will do fine. yes arbs are difficult to play against, but if you went full elite skirms and enemy going arbs, you might lose more units BUT you take more efficient trades since your units dont cost gold. if you fight with skirms, you can basicly do which ever unit switch you want since you haven't used much gold to fight back. just the fact that you lose some fights, don't mean they are bad fights for you. he is spending the most valuable resource - gold and you are spending wood-food. its not that difficult tbh.

I would have checked after resigning but honestly i uninstalled game. I am sure diosmio will be happy eventually because I do permanently quit playing games if they anger me too much. I am pretty sure this will be a game I just stop playing eventually and bar myself from playing. Only really done that with like two-three games.

Wall up earlier, start in dark age at around 15 population and use more than one villager to do it. If your opponent goes scouts they will be far behind if you simply wall. To send villagers back to work they need to be sent directly to garrison from their workplace, if you click to move them first they will not go back to work when you press G on the town center.

can you tell me what the scout did to you? show me on a doll.

scouts are super weak. get militia and spears and just patrol and/or spread them out and set to defensive. it's literally that simple... why is that hard to figure out?

Scouts are expensive to produce and the person producing them won't be able to build as many villagers if they are rushing with them. They are hard countered by spearmen so if you build a barracks early all you have to do is click the town bell to call in your villagers and then build a few spearmen to counter the scouts.

If you are able to kill the scouts with spearmen you've set your opponent back a larger sum of food and will likely have more villagers than him, which means he just gimped himself.

They do that to apply pressure and cause you frustration. Will you let the tactic work or turn it against them?
