What do you think of the new voiceovers?

The English sacked the town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, as we all know.
But then the narrator reads "WITH that I could call it a battle."
It's supposed to be "WOULD that I could call it a battle."

I fear for Scotland's future.

The original Scottish voice actor was a lot more excited about everything. I miss him.

"The English are angry you destroyed their outpost!!!"

So, do you guys recommend I play campaign in the original HD game or not?

Well, the voiceovers are a pretty small part of the game, so based on that alone, I'd say it doesn't matter which version you play.
But I've only played a couple games so far, I literally just bought it, so I can't comment on any gameplay changes just yet.

id say play DE for campaigns because they are improved by quite some

Mixed, some are better but some are missing something compared to the originals.

They're fine but I just prefer the theatrical acting style of the original voice actors. Some of the new ones are still really good though. I do find it weird how there is no option to change between new and classic voices though.

I am so disappointed with the Joan of Arc one... he and the Barbarossa one were my favourites. Waiting for a mod with the old ones.

Hm, now I really can't make up my mind, should I refund DE and just play HD edition.

I also got slow loading times with DE DLC which I feel is essential.

They are okay, but they lack what the old ones had, a feeling to realism to the situation facing in the scenario, excitement, emotion, idk.

I don't think it was necessary of the developers to get new voice actors for the original game and the Conquerors exp. There's a high level of nostalgia that's taken away with the new VAs. Wish there was an option in the menu to switch the voices back like there is for music.
