[SOLVED] Win 7 ADVAPI32.dll
This is for the error message of: the procedure entry point EventSetInformation could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.dll

Go to your windows update, look at the optional updates, and download the spyware update named: Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB3080149)
formerly known as Update for customer experience and diagnostic telemetry

I installed this, restarted computer, and voila, now that microsoft has updated its information gathering for your system, the game works! Sucks cause this is one of the most cautioned about updates due to supposed "spyware" purposes, whether that's true or not.

Well... it kinda worked anyways. Now I can see a loading picture! except now I get this error:

could not initialize graphics system. Make sure that your graphics card meets the minimum system requirements.: ID3D11Device::Queryinterface() failed! HRESULT=0x80004002

I'm on a GTX 970, and run any modern game just fine. Definitely not the best card, but should be more than enough to run this game with or without the enhanced graphics, and from what I saw in the requirements, my card is definitely better than the minimum reqs.

Anyways, that's the solution for the first hurdle. Hopefully for the rest of you, it'll be the only hurdle.

*edit: Some have mentioned installing the latest Visual C++ redistributable as a full solution for getting the game to run, maybe that works for you

Great post, there seems to be some ways to fix it. Not everything will work for everyone most likely, but this is a good step. Sure is a shame when a company purposefully ignores older operating systems. Makes you wonder why they want people on their "new" one so badly...
