Worth buying for singleplayer?
Simply curious how much singleplayer content is there, and if the singleplayer gameplay alone is worth buying?(Don't like PVP gameplay)

There is a lot of singleplayer content. Singleplayer matches feature randomly-generated maps for you to play on, with options for size and terrain, along with matches allowing for up to yourself and up to 7 AI players, with adjustable difficulties and teams. There exist multiple campaigns, with not only all the campaigns from AoE 2013, but also a few new ones. You can also create ingame maps and scenarios yourself, and download content from the workshop.

-Probably between 150 to 300 hours of campaign content DOE.

-Unlimited if you play vs AI for general skirmishes.

The historical campaigns are half of what made the original game great and there are so many now with the new expansions. If you're into history it's definitely worth buying.

Wait...The skirmish maps are randomly generated?I had no idea!(Don't have much AoE experience) That's awesome!

Whoa...That's more than enough to buy it for campaigns alone!

I'm convinced to buy it too now.

Buying it, thanks everyone.

Always prefered the single player in the game (despite being a multi enthousiast for many games), it's just awesome and I learned some history (more than at school, to say the truth) when I was a child with these campaigns ^^

YES! It is worth buying just for single player too. But multiplayer will be fixed so even better.

I have always only played Multiplayer and single player vs the AI. That being said, I just played the Huns first campaign mission on Hard, and thoroughly enjoyed it. I cant wait to play the second mission! I think the campaign is going to be lots of fun!

Definitely worth it. Multiplayer is a hard pass right now in the current state.

Yeah, RTS are not really the games i play multiplayer due to not being able to pause take a break & come back. With SP i can take my time, look at the details on the buildings, terrain & units etc.

The times i played it on MP back in the day, it not only lagged because of internet quality back then but also everyone rushed as soon as the game started everyone wanted to win as quickly as possible before the game even got to the castle age.

For me it's best for single player. With multiplayer you run into guys that can overwhelm you pretty quickly killing the enjoyment.

There's like 20 or so singleplayer campaigns so yeah, a lot of story to get through.
Also about 20 standalone historic scenarios and skirmish on many different maps and with many different options for victory conditions and a whole lot of civs to play as.

Yes. It' cheap and the campaigns are decent.

I bought this game just for campaings! but I have two questions.

1) My Gpu doesn't support directx 11 so is there a way to play this game for me?

2) Are all the campaigns remaked? I mean what is the difference between old campaigns and new campaigns? I saw on youtube that the Richard Lionheart has a base and creates units to fight with you against saladin in barbarossa 6.

That's exactly why I avoid PvP games.

That's why I avoid PvP games, I'm usually just too slow.

Thanks again everyone!
