I am more concerned with the requirements of the system than with the price or whether the changes will be significant enough.

Two New "Game Modes", Historical Battles and Art of War, two new civs, Swedes and Incas, "fundamental changes to the Native American Civilizations"... Let's see if it's enough to give AOE III a new life.....

No African civilizations like we've assumed. It is worth remembering that all AOE III DLC civs had their own campaigns.

Now I really hope there is also an Age of Mythology Definitive Edition.

So... AoE3 DE is going to lose to a mod? Seriously, why even bother with the Swedes? What do they have to do with this? Wouldn't it make more sense to add something like Ghana, Kongo, or Benin?

Sweden was the only European empire which had important colonies left if you don't count Denmark. They were also planned by Ensemble originally.

I personally would have liked to see African civs too. Maybe we might see DLC with some.

Except they didn't. At no point did Sweden gain/create any noteworthy colonies.

Not sure if they plan on making African civs, but I'd probably consider buying the new game if they added that, as well as the promise of more civilizations.

They had some for some time as far as I know. Small ones but still.

One DLC appears to be Capture Age and the other DLC could be the new DE Bundle (AoEDE+AoE2DE+AoE3DE).

We need season pass with 100 new civs.

I have already created a list of 100 civilizations - sorted by 4 civs per architecture :hype:.

Of course it's silly and unrealistic. I just did it for my own amusement :hp_kyu:.

At this point, I don't think there will be any new content for AoE2 in the near future.

The African Kingdoms 2 would be great.

Personally, I'd like to see Great Zimbabwe, Kongolese and Swahili too.

These 3 would also be my guess if they ever add southern african civilizations to AoE2.

Even on a magnified, mostly-proportional map, they're hardly visible, and they held most of them for less than 30 years, so they wouldn't even be getting much from them. They were not, in any sense, significant.

It's true that they're not as impressive as those from the other civs but they played a major role in the European theater. Probably due to this they weren't included by Ensemble.

Cologne in the Americas/Asia? I don't remember Germans, Russians or Turks having any either. Swedish? It also does not appear as an important country in the colonization of nowhere.

Denmark I have at least heard that they have had colonies (and I'm not talking about Greenland), unlike all these, despite being tiny little colonies. And as far as I'm concerned, they lasted longer than the Swedes. Perhaps even one islet or another has survived to this day as part of Denmark.

If this is an acceptable condition then they are missing Holy Roman Empire / Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Comon Wealth Poland-Lithuania, they did not participate in colonization but were essential participants of the European scenario in this period.

I must admit, it's infinitely better than the AOE I DE, where there only new graphics and a few QoL improvements, but still I expected more. I'll buy too, I'll buy first and ask if it's worth it later.
Maybe if it goes well they'll make a new expansion, more civs, more campaigns, more whatever, lol
