Change save files / mod location?
The default save location for gamesaves, replays and mods are all at C:\Users\ (Username) \Games\Age of Empires 2 DE, but the disk space on my C drive is running low.
I had my game installed on drive D, which has plenty of space.
I just don't wanna manually move replay files frequently, and most importantly-the more mods I subscribe the lower my system drive space is, since there seems no way to assign any other folders as mod folder either.
Is there anyway to change the save location instead of in drive C?
Like, in my case, move them to drive D within the main installation directory and set it as a default location.
I just searched the internet, install location (why don't they put all these files here? :steamfacepalm:), registry and appdata folders, no related setting files seemingly.
Please help me if anyone knows how to solve this issue, or confirm that it's hardcoded in the executable and best just give up.
Thanks.

Right click the game in your steam library, properties, local files tab, move install folder. Then select the other drive you want it installed on.

Thanks for replying. I just noticed I forgot to mention that my game is already installed on drive D, separated from the replay and mod files, thus just had my question edited. In this case, is there a way to alter the default save location? Thanks.
The default save location will be whatever drive you installed the game on.

Sorry, but that is not my case. I think what you're referring to is that of AoE2 HD, not DE.
My install location of AoE2 DE is on drive D, but all replays and mods are on drive C, in my windows user folder. I even tried to completely uninstall then reinstall the game several times onto drive D, but the save directory is still always in the same location. Thanks for the help though, I guess there is no way to work around this problem then.

Bump. Same here, looking for a solution as replays/mods etc. are eating my boot drive space even though the game is installed on a separate drive. Probs going to submit a ticket see what help that does.

You might have to do a complete move of all steam. And do backup and restore, or create a similar path for save games on your new drive. The instructions are a bit unclear on how to deal with saves and mods.

Man! This is very important it is clearly eating the bootdrive I got only 50 gb and this occupies 10 gb, my D disk has a 100 gb free space out of 200 gb. Help me with clear instructions or please upload any perfect video that includes all steps of moving from c to d clearly.
