Do Genitours counter Conquistadors?
In one of my recent team machtes, I played as the Berbers and one of the enemy team members had Spanish. When he pressured my flank team mate, I spammed out many genitours, as I was sure they would do a good job against conqus. I also added some camels to keep the conqus busy, while trying to snipe them down with my genitours. However, I was quite surprised, that my genitours didn't do as well against the conqus, as I expected. The conqus completely destroyed my camel + genitour army, even I was outnumbering him and was able to replenish my army from 10 or more ranges. Is it wrong to counter spanish conqus with genitours?

Pretty sure genitours should destroy conquistadors. They are basicly mounted skirms no? Maybe you didn't have much upgrades on them.

-You shouldn't have gotten destroyed; but it all depends on the numbers you're fighting with.

Yup Genitours should crush Conquistadors, as Conquistadors have the armor class of Archers, Mounted Archer, Cavalry, Gunpowder Unit, and Unique Unit.

Genitours do bonus damage against Two of those classes while being normal to the rest.

Meanwhile Conquistadors are Gunpowders units with no hidden bonuses except against Rams and Buildings.

While a fight between Conquistadors and Genitours should result in the Conquistador winning due to the damage vs HP vs Armor calculations, Genitours are MUCH cheaper then Conquistadors and are Trash units on top of this.

In short 1v1 the Conquistadors should win, but economically and in sustained group fights the Genitour should come out the winner.
