How do you team chat?

I don't talk to people in chat cos im affraid i'm not in team chat in team games, is there a way to team chat?

By default chat is only to your teammates in a team game. You can type an asterisk * at the beginning of your message in order to chat to all players (e.g. to say gg at the end of a team game, type *gg). You can open the chat menu (the trumpet icon at the top right) and check different boxes to select individually which players receive your message. There's also a character to put at the beginning of a message to send it only to your teammates, off the top of my head I think it's a semicolon. But that's typically not needed.

(There's also a UserPatch feature to send messages to specific players, e.g. >2 to send a message to the red player, but I don't know whether DE implements that feature.)

just press enter and write text. That way the message is read only by teammates.
In order to talk to opponents too you need to start the message with an asterisk: *
This only in teamgames. in 1 v 1 you don't have to add the * at the start in order to talk to the opponent
