If you want to change the game's data you can use the Advanced Genie Editor. Right click Aoe2 DE in your Steam Library and go to Manage > Local Files, then open the Tools_Builds folder.

I do not know how to create mods for Age2. But I wanna show you some support from the other far end of the spectrum. I have hypersensitivity issues, one of which is to sound. I tend to, especially while in a voice chat but also usually otherwise, play without sound.

My idea is different then the one proposed here, but maybe if somone takes on the interest of this mod, they could help me develop mine aswell as this one possibly. I think visual aid is an interesting idea. Im a musician and i would play with music if the visual aids were better, including the mini map! My mod idea basicly is to have a radial pie menu for formations among other things
