Corrupted save files?

I keep getting error messages when I am loading saved games. Many save games seem to be corrupted and cannot be loaded. Others works well. Seems pretty random, but looks like it gets more serious the further into a game you get.

Anyone else getting this problem?

I got the same issue but even the autosave file on joan of arc mission 3 has failed to load.

Hey sinsro and casper! The team has got back to me and have a request for two things if you are experiencing this issue:

• The save game file. If you have a specific save that is failing to load, we'd love to pass it to our team. It should be located in a folder with this structure: C:\Users\pc\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\<Your User ID>\savegame
  
• A copy of your dxdiag.txt. If you can generate a file and zip it up with the save game, that will be most helpful!

I’ll get this information to our Test team so they can figure out what might be happening, so let me know what you have and I’ll see what we can do to help!

OK, I overwrote the bad saves, but I will post if it happens again.

yeah non stop every single player game I play. Its infuriating because I will check the new save file is there "castle 2" for example. Then when I need to load it it is either not there or file wont load. bein going on for around a week now. If I save over an old file "castle" for example then try to load it it will just load the very first save point I made or not load at all I cant believe it just endless rage atm

I cant load saved games as well. Windows 10 and steam. Nothing more on this machine and save games don't work. I wonder who this slipped through the beta testing - or is this the beta testing right now???

Hi Aleph, how are you?

I have a savegame that has a bug (actually I think the bug is in the mission and I have the bad luck to save before it happens).
It freezes completely the game interface but music keeps playing so I have to kill the game.

Hello! I have big problems with my saved games (campaigns) from previous versions (101.101.34397.0 4546676 and earlier). After late January update some of those saves aren't working anymore, the game just almost immediately crashes when I try to load them (without any message). All my saves definitely worked fine before that patch, I tested them earlier. After particular crash (campaign Alaric 5) I checked out a log file and found this error message in it: "Exception type 0xc0000005 occurred at 00007ff73934863b".

Maybe this issue is linked to the problem with replays somehow. I'm not the only one who have serious issues with saves. Please fix it as soon as possible!
