How exactly do I spectate pro games?

I mean, is there a search option for players? Can I for example see Hera's or Daut's games just searching for them?

Yeah but you need to know the player's name, there is no option to sort by elo etc.

Goto: https://aoe2.net/#aoe2de-matches-ongoing

And then sort by rating (Click the little arrows next to the heading "Rating").

That will show you the top ELO games. See who is playing and make sure the game was started in the past 15 to 20 minutes.

Then go to "Spectate Games" in AOE2 DE. Type the player's name into the search box and click "Refresh" a few times.
